The tour starts in our official facilities of Ballena Aventura, where we offer a refreshing juice of seasonal fruit along with a snack to taste while we make the registration of each one of our companions, once registered we will move in a small walk of Ballena Bay history to the entrance of the Ballena National Marine Park (Uvita Beach sector), where we will take the boat that will be waiting for us, the start time will depend strictly on the conditions of the tide, the best time to do it is at high tide through the channels in Boca Coronado mouth of the Terraba Great River.

You will enter the canals and you will have the great possibility of seeing many species of flora and fauna, this area has a great biological variety and is an incalculable cultural heritage.

It comprises the largest mangrove forests in Costa Rica, is a site for feeding, breeding and sheltering large numbers of wildlife, marine and continental species. It is the habitat of many species of birds, fish, mammals, amphibians and reptiles, some outstanding species are: crocodiles, caimans, blue egret, white ibis and osprey, its resident and migratory birds are the most frequent species.
